Biochemistry department was established at 1973 by the late Prof.Sayed Amin and Prof. Olfat Muhyiddin

Biochemistry department looks forward to be a leader in education and research in the field of biochemistry.

Department Mission:

Preparation of graduates with high competence in the field of biochemistry to meet the needs of the local, regional and international job market beside their ability to conduct academic and applied research in support of national development.

Job Opportunities:

The department provides the students with biochemical information that meets the job market in the fields of clinical biochemistry, food analysis, and biological fluid analysis. Thus, biochemistry graduates can be employed in different public and private sectors including research centers, food and beverage industries, manufacturing and processing, pharmaceutical, health and beauty care organization, pollution control, hospitals and laboratory services.
