It was decided to conduct the elections of the Governing Council of Science Graduates Association before the end of 2015. The nomination period was opened from 4/8/2015 till 13/8/2015 while the general assembly will be held in the head quarter on Saturday 17/10/2015 at 12:00pm to conduct the election of the new council.

The Faculty of Science, Alexandria University organized a conference entitled "Future vision to develop Faculties of Science" on Sunday, 13/9/2015 in Ahmed Zewail Auditorium in El Shatby building. The Faculty Dean Dr. Mohamed Ismail Abdo delivered the opening speech in attendance of faculty deputies, teaching staff, industrial companies’ representatives and students.

Mr. Dean represented proposed ideas for the development of the education process regarding graduate studies and research sector, community service and environment development sector

and education and students sector in addition to analyzing the current status. The conference discussed possible ways of promoting scientific research and supporting the technology as well as developing the administrative system of the faculties and the cadre of teaching staff and assisting staff.

An extensive discussion took place on the topics “The Fifth year in Science” which was refused by all attendants. The conference was finished with a discussion on the proposals of future vision for development.

It is worth to mention that the faculty will organize a general conference for all Faculties of Science by mid of 2016 to review the implementing plan for the development vision. 

The Faculty Council and Administration extends sincere appreciation and thanks to the President of Department Board of Marine Science; Prof. Dr. Amany Abdel Hamid, teaching staff and Quality Coordinator in the department Dr. Amira Hemdan for their efforts to apply the quality insurance systems in the department that was reflected by obtaining the highest grads and the first place in September 2015 for the sixth consecutive month among all academic department.​

 The Faculty of Science – Alexandria University in collaboration with the Training Unit held a training course for Demonstrators, assistant lecturers and graduate students under title of “Basics of scientific writing” on Thursday 10/9/2015 in the faculty building in Moharram Bek. The course was addressed by Dr. Doaa Gharib;the Assistant Professor at Department of Bio-Chemistry focusing on basics of scientific research writing, publication basics and using trusted references.
