Faculty Council of Science - Alexandria University during its session held on Sunday 12th of July 2015 stated its condemnation of the blind terrorist attacks against Egypt military forces and police men and innocent civilians. We all announce that we all stand together against the blind terrorism and those countries standing behind that tries to destabilizes Egypt and contributes to emit the spirit of division, domination, oppression and hatred and trying to confuse the Egyptian scene after two great revolutions and the success of Sharm El Shiekh Economic Conference as well as the near celebration of new Suez Canal inauguration and other promising development projects that should lead to Egyptian people welfare.
We trust in our military forces and police men who are fighting terrorism and will not stop till clearing all terrorism hotbeds and return stabilization and safe to our country. God grants victory to our army in Sinai over enemies.
We all as teaching staff and employees in the faculty stand with great tenacity and certainty behind our political and military leadership with commitment to go beyond this period and looking forward a new Egypt full of hope and freedom, the future Egypt.
God bless Egypt and may God have mercy on our martyrs and grant them abode in Paradise.

The Faculty Council of Science, Alexandria University honored 6 students of distinguished students who have achieved first places in the fourth Student Conference for Research and Innovation, which was held last month in the Faculty of Science-El Shatbi. The students achieved the first three positions for high studies and bachelor degrees students upon the assessment of arbitration committees in the Conference. The honoring was to encourage them and their colleagues to exert more effort in scientific research and innovation. The celebration was held in faculty council on Saturday, 13/6/2015 in Moharam Bek building.

The Faculty Council of Science - Alexandria University decided during its session on Saturday, 13/6/2015 decided to renew secondment of 21 members of the teaching staff in various disciplines to work in universities in Arab countries.
The Scout group of the Faculty of Science won the first place in the scout festival of Alexandria University that was held in Police Club from 7/4/2015 till 15/4/2015 for the second consecutive year.
The delegation that represented the faculty won the first place in all activities of the festival cultural, artistic, religious or public service activities.
The Faculty Council of Sciences during its session on Saturday, 13/6/2015 decided to accept a donation from Dr. Mohamed Abdul Aziz Metwalli, Chairman of Middle East Oil Refinery “MIDOR” with a check of one hundred and fifty thousand EGP as support to create an integrated governing for the educational process and the administration and to convert the faculty to be E-Faculty as well as activating the Intranet.
The Council also accepted the gift presented to the Department of Zoology from Mr. Prof. Dr. Mark Landry, the Professor at the University of Bordeaux 2, France. The gift is "Electronic Von Frey" to be used in measuring the behavior of animal diseases. The device costs 2600 euros. The Council also accepted a gift from Center of Excellence in Nano-manufacturing Applications (CENA) introduced to the Department of Chemistry. The gift is a "Spectrophotometer UV/VIS double beam PG-England model: T 80+" to be used in multiple measurements in the Central Laboratory of the department. The device costs $7124 USD.
