Then Faculty of Science, Alexandria University has received a visit from Nabawia Mousa Secondary School on Sunday 20/12/2015 to the faculty building in Moharam Bek. The visit came within the activities of Community Service and Environment Development Sector and joint cooperation between Faculty of Science and Minister of Education to achieve the scientific awareness for the student.

The visit began with public lecture in the Green Hall presenting the faculty buildings, departments and laboratories, and then the students went to visit Department of Geology. The visit is considered as a preparation for the university stage for the students.  

Under the activated role of the Faculty of Science in community service and environment development, the faculty recieved Eng. Ahmed Helmy; Deputy of the Ministry of Agriculture for Fisheries in Alexandria on 30/12/2015. Eng. Helmy delivered a lecture under title of “Development methods of Fisheries in Egypt and obstacles” in the Green Hall in the faculty building in Moharam Bek at 10:30. The

lecture was attended by Prof. Dr. Alaa Eldin Ramadan; Faculty Deputy for Community Service and Environment Development in addition to faculty members and interested and specialized persons in this field.

Eng. Helmy talked about how to develop and improve Fisheries in Egypt and to reduce its obstacles. He stated that a new laws and regulations will be issued to enhance cooperation between ministries in addition to activating the laws that serve and protect the environment. He also presented past experiences of advanced countries in the field of aquaculture such as Turkey and Greece.

The attendants discussed how to develop the infrastructure of aquaculture and its technological and manual equipment with a view to reducing fish importing with large from abroad taking into consideration that most of Egypt borders are sea coasts.       

   In the presence of Prof. Dr. Essam Khamis; Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Faculty of Science-Alexandria University organized a lecture entitled “Egypt and the Nuclear Age” in collaboration with the Society of Graduates. The lecture was delivered by the Egyptian Scientist Prof. Dr. Mohammad Salah El Naschie on the history of the nuclear reactor since the era of Abdel Nasser till now. He stated that the first nuclear reactor for scientific research was inaugurated by Gamal

Abdel Nasser under the name of "Anshas Reactor ". He also talked about the scientific theories and mathematical and physical concepts which paved the way for the nuclear reactors and the creation of energy from scratch and cosmic energies, and how the Einstein Theory was the basis for energy research that has evolved and led to the emergence of the theory of Dr. El Naschie as amendment of Einstein Theory.

Dr. El Naschie discussed some of his research on the endless energy from vacuum which is considered as quantitative-mechanical energy. He also declared that he is involved in the establishment of a new nuclear reactor for Atomic energy as well as another project of nuclear reactor for scientific research.

The symposium was attended by a large number of scientists, students and intellectuals. The symposium was attended also by the dean of the people's deputies; Mr. Kamal Ahmed and professors from all universities in Egypt. At the end of the symposium Dr. El Naschie and also Prof. Dr. Essam Khamis Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research were honored in addition to the professors of the Faculty of Science who had obtained state awards and university prizes for 2015.

This symposium was held at a generous initiative of the Society of Graduates of the Faculty of Science headed by Dr. Ahmed Fahmi.
